Frozen section analysis |
It is absolutely mandatory that frozen section analyses are announced,
if possible in writing, by fax (044 41 – 99 28 72), by phone call (0 44
41 – 99 28 71) or online here on our web site.
Material: Do not fix the investigation material in formaldehyde
solution, do not deep-freeze or immerse in saline solution. Warning!
Irreversible alterations of the tissue structure can, and generally
will, occur, making it impossible to obtain a diagnosis using the
frozen section technique.
Labelling: Each specimen jar must be clearly labelled (patient’s name,
date of birth, sample identification, hospital and doctor’s address).
The frozen section request form should be filled in completely.
The telephone number of the person awaiting the re-call must be
given in the request form.
Transportation: Generally, transportation will be carried out by the
courier service of our practice (Warning!: courier service only
possible “just in tine”).

Scientific investigations |
Whenever possible, the pathology practice in Vechta supports scientific
investigations of hospitals and also of self-employed doctors, if the
respective scientific examinations are discussed beforehand and a
mutual protocol regarding the object of the study, involvement of the
practice and general conditions of the investigation has been signed.
